Ethics, Leadership, and Risk Consulting for Healthcare and Small Businesses
I provide ethics, leadership, and risk consulting to healthcare and small businesses operating in practice-based environments. My work supports sound judgment, defensible decision-making, and sustainable operations where clinical complexity, organizational responsibility, and leadership accountability intersect.
I advise leaders and organizations facing ethical uncertainty in practice-based environments where guidance is unclear or pressures are high. This often involves boundary concerns, conflicts of interest, reporting questions, and competing professional obligations, with a focus on clear reasoning, accountability, and defensible decisions that leaders can stand behind.
I work with organizations to identify and address ethical, legal, and reputational risks before they escalate. This commonly includes helping leaders think through response options to sensitive situations, evaluating exposure related to staff conduct or documentation practices, and strengthening decision-making processes to reduce downstream risk.
I work with leaders and executives to strengthen judgment, decision-making, accountability, and individual wellness in complex, people-driven environments. Leadership development and coaching focus on real organizational challenges, such as managing difficult personnel decisions, navigating ethical ambiguity, leading through conflict, and making high-stakes decisions under pressure.
I help organizations assess and strengthen practice operations, including documentation standards, scope of practice, supervision, and internal decision-making structures. This work often involves clarifying expectations, addressing gaps between policy and practice, and supporting consistent professional judgment across teams.
I support leaders in addressing staff performance concerns, role strain, and burnout risk while maintaining accountability and service quality. This may include advising on performance management, responding to conduct or boundary concerns, and helping organizations balance workforce well-being with operational and professional responsibilities.
I advise organizations and technology teams using AI on ethical, operational, and risk considerations related to deployment and oversight. This includes clarifying accountability for AI-informed decisions, evaluating how tools are integrated into people-facing systems, and supporting responsible use that does not undermine professional judgment or organizational responsibility.
Consultation is often most effective before issues escalate or become adversarial. Early, thoughtful discussion can help leaders clarify responsibility, assess risk, and determine an appropriate path forward.
My work is informed by experience on both sides of organizational decision-making: as a licensed clinical social worker and as a former CEO. This background provides a practical understanding of how practice-based organizations operate and where ethical, operational, leadership, and risk-related challenges tend to emerge.
I advise leaders and organizations on judgment and decision-making in complex environments, focusing on organizational responsibility rather than individual clinical care. The emphasis is on clarity, accountability, and decisions that can be defended in real-world practice. My approach emphasizes careful analysis, clear reasoning, and proportional response, with the goal of helping leaders act deliberately rather than reactively.
